According to Ethereum foundation, the merge will take place when Ethereum Mainnet reaches block 15540293. This will happen between 10 Sep 2022 and 20 Sep 2022, most likely around 15 Sep 2022 (UTC). The Merge will have two parts, Bellatrix y París.
To guarantee the security of your funds, we encourage you not to make On-chain ERC-20 deposits during this technical process. If you need to make deposits please plan ahead.
Quantia will help you with any technical issue that may occur during the merge.
As a new token may be created during the Hard Fork, Quantia will take the following measures to reduce the risks associated with the high volatility of the prices.
-
Suspension of all ETH deposits and withdraws. Quantia will suspend deposits and withdraws for all tokens based on the Ethereum (ERC-20) network during both events. We will announce the exact date and duration once we are certain.
-
15 Sep 2022 (UTC) for the Paris upgrade
-
- There are two possible scenarios that may happen during the Merge
Scenario A No new tokens are created. Quantia will resume ERC-20 deposits and withdraws once we confirm Ethereum Mainnet is stable and secure.
Scenario B New tokens are created. Quantia will consider the tokens generated in the Ethereum Pos chain as "ETH" and will consider the tokens generated in the Ethereum PoW chain as new tokens.
New tokens will be sent by airdrop in a 1:1 proportion according to the ETH in your account and will be available for deposits and withdraws. More information about the airdrop will be included in a new announcement.
New tokens will need to go through our usual review process before someone is able to exchange them in Quantia. A separate announcement will be made if the tokens approve our review.
No extra steps are required by the users to support the merge. Quantia will handle all the technical process.
